Our Community: A Mature & Respectful Environment

Oakay is designed specifically for mature players aged 18 and older, ensuring a calm, welcoming, and drama-free environment. We pride ourselves on fostering a respectful atmosphere with a zero-tolerance policy against sexism, racism, transphobia, griefing, and stealing. Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where creativity and collaboration thrive.

• Cross-Platform Play: Join seamlessly from PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, PC Bedrock, and PC Java.

• Vanilla Experience with Enhancements: Enjoy the latest version of Minecraft (Fabric 1.21.5) with no modded client required. We use a selection of server-side mods to improve performance, enhance moderation, and add quality-of-life features like voice chat, an audioplayer, and a dynamic live 3D map (Bluemap).

• Custom Advancements: Challenge yourself with 36 unique advancements celebrating our community.

• Player-Driven World: From a bustling shopping district and creative game area to carefully planned community farms distinguished by unique banners, our world is shaped by its players.

• Fair Play System: Our transparent strike-and-ban policy ensures a clean, respectful, and drama-free environment.

Governance & Player Impact: A Community-Driven Server

Oakay is more than just a server; it's a community where player input truly matters. We have a unique governance system featuring elected Ministers:

• Minister of Relations: Focuses on welcoming and integrating new players into the Starter Home Area, answering questions, mediating disputes, organizing welcoming events, and maintaining the area.

• Minister of Commerce: Oversees the Shopping District, attracts new merchants, resolves trade disputes, organizes promotional events, and maintains the district.

• Minister of Leisure: Manages the Game Area, encourages the creation of games, tournaments, and community events, supports community-driven minigame development, and maintains the area.

These ministers are elected by the community for the community during official Oakay elections, which include a campaigning period and player voting. The Parliament building at spawn serves as a visual centerpiece and a meeting place for ministers to discuss server topics and coordinate projects.

Our Build Team works closely with Ministers, Community Managers, and the Owner to design and construct official server builds, ensuring quality and consistency.
