A word from your current Ministers of Commerce and Relations, Elphie and Puffa

We’re incredibly excited to see the next wave of passionate leaders step forward in this minister campaign season! While we haven’t decided yet if we’ll be running again, our focus remains on finishing up as many community projects as we can before the next handover of power. We’re committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to the fullest and making sure Oakay is in the best shape possible for whoever comes next!

New Rules Rework

We're currently reworking the server rules to improve clarity and fairness. The updated rules will be announced soon—stay tuned!

Welcome Aboard!

We’re excited to share that 15 new players have had their applications accepted and are now official members of the Oakay community! Make sure to give them a warm welcome!

3 player has been permanently banned for rule violations. Thanks for helping keep Oakay safe and respectful!

New Additions

The Humporium

Adopt a lumpy camel for just 6 diamonds or pick up a uniquely named tropical fish, each with its own pattern and personality. Inside the general fish store, check the book for rotating deals on a wide variety of tropical fish. Out back, browse barrels filled with lush blocks, rare rocks, bamboo, Deep Dark items, and decorative goods—all priced in diamonds.

Elphie's Lottery

Play for a chance at diamonds! Pick up a ticket, choose 4 numbers (1–25), and submit it with your diamond. Jackpot increases every Wednesday until someone wins! Full details at the booth—good luck!

Flowers to Dye For!

Get every flower (except wither roses) and all 16 dyes at fair prices! Moss and azaleas also stocked. Most flowers come from the public Flower Farm—shop and share!

Jeopardy!

Three contestants take turns picking questions of varying difficulty. Answer correctly to earn points—but get it wrong, and you lose them. The player with the most points at the end wins!

JEOPARDY!

It’s Jeopardy! Three contestants take turns picking clues and answering in the form of questions to gain or lose points. After a successful test run with W.E.T.T. members, a live game will be hosted next week! If you’re interested in being a contestant in this lighthearted trivia showdown, comment below—more details to come once the lineup is set.

Minster Campaigns

Minister campaigning begins Monday, June 2, 2025! Players interested in running for a minister position will have the opportunity to share their vision, connect with the community, and earn support ahead of the next election. Each candidate will be able to post campaign messages, host events, and engage with voters throughout the week. Whether you're running or just eager to learn more about the people shaping Oakay’s future, this is your chance to get involved. Campaigning will continue until voting opens— keep an eye out for an announcement in #announcments!

Player Spotlight

Every two weeks, we recognize a player who's made a meaningful impact—and this time, we're spotlighting elfmage1011!

Elfmage came up with the idea for our new shop directory system, using numbered banners to label each shop. They headed up the project with tons of creative input, helping bring structure and clarity to the shopping area. It's live now and super informal—go check it out! Thanks, Elfmage!
